The principle investigator in Oslo is Associate Prof. Patrick Riss. The project includes the design and synthesis of radiotracer candidates, implementation of labelling strategies for established and new PET radiotracers, biological characterisation and validation of radiotracers. Knowledge of reaction optimisation, purification, quality control procedures (radioTLC, radioHPLC), radiochemical process automation and radiosynthesis equipment of particular relevance to PET is beneficial for the post holder.
Requirements/qualifications:The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences has a strategic ambition of being a leading research faculty. Candidates for these fellowships will be selected in accordance with this, and expected to be in the upper segment of their field with respect to academic credentials. Applicants must have a:
- PhD in Radiochemistry or Radiopharmaceutical Chemistry or other corresponding education equivalent to a Norwegian doctoral degree, with experience in PET radiochemistry and radiotracer synthesis.
