Eligibility:	*The Awards will be offered to students who are citizens or permanent residents of New Zealand, currently studying in Year 13 at a New Zealand secondary school and intending to enrol in a full-time degree programme at the University of Auckland.*The initial basis of selection will be academic ability, motivation to succeed at University and financial need (see Note ii). Applicants’ levels of preparedness for university study will also be assessed by considering their performance to date in subjects relevant to their intended degree. The decile ranking of the applicant’s school and eligibility for a StudyLink Student Allowance may also be taken into account during the selection process.*The Awards will be made by the University of Auckland Council upon the recommendation of a Selection Committee comprising two members of the academic staff of the University and the Manager of the Scholarships Office (or nominee). All awarding recommendations will also be endorsed by the Entry Level Selection Committee.
