International education and training has long been one of the TaiwanICDF’s core operations, among many others. Human resources development programs play a vital role in assisting partner countries achieve sustainable development, and education is a crucial mechanism for training workforces in developing countries. The TaiwanICDF provides scholarships for higher education and has developed undergraduate, graduate and Ph.D. programs in cooperation with renowned partner universities in Taiwan.

Entitlements: The TaiwanICDF provides each scholarship recipient with a full scholarship, including return airfare, housing, tuition and credit fees, insurance, textbook costs and a monthly allowance.

TaiwanICDF Scholarship Partner Universities
The TaiwanICDF has established the Taiwan International Cooperation Alliance (TICA) with its partner universities, setting up an operational platform under this TICA framework to manage and improve the scholarship program. More information about each of the programs offered through the TaiwanICDF International Higher Education Scholarship Program can be found on the relevant partner university’s website (links are also provided under each program introduction provided as part of the following list of partner universities).
List of TaiwanICDF Scholarship Partner Universities

1. Eligibility

Applicants applying for a TaiwanICDF scholarship must meet both the general eligibility criteria and be a national of a country on the List of Countries Eligible for TaiwanICDF Scholarship. Applicants must also meet the Regulations Governing Visiting, Resident, and Permanent Residency of Aliens set by ROC(Taiwan) National Immigration Agency.
Note: All Undergraduate Programs only accept applications submitted by citizens of allied countries of ROC(Taiwan).

2. Application Procedure

The annual application period runs, in principle, fromJanuary 1 to March 15 (for 2015 Scholarship programs, the application period runs fromJanuary 1 to March 16, 2015)
Applicants should submit the documents listed below to the ROC (Taiwan) Embassy/ Consulate (General)/ Representative Office/ Taiwan Technical Mission or project representative in their country. Applicants must ensure that they submit accurate and complete documentation; failure to do so will result in the application not being processed. Please also note: 1. Late submissions will not be accepted and/or processed. 2. All Undergraduate Programs only accept applications submitted by citizens of allied countries of ROC(Taiwan).
        

  1. A photocopy of applicant’s passport or other document showing proof of nationality
  2. A photocopy of applicant’s highest-level diploma and academic transcripts.
  3. A photocopy of applicant’s English proficiency certificate.
    Please note: This means a TOEFL test score or that of another recognized English proficiency exam, or documents certifying that the applicant has graduated from a program where all courses were taught in English. Applicants who are unable to provide such proof of English proficiency due to special circumstances may be assessed for English proficiency by an ROC (Taiwan) Embassy/ Consulate (General)/ Representative Office/ Taiwan Technical Mission or project representative via interview or other forms of testing. Applicants whose official national language is English are exempt from needing to supply these documents.
  4. A TaiwanICDF Medical Report(including an HIV test)dated within the the past three months.
  5. Two letters of reference.
  6. Any other documents specifically requested by an ROC (Taiwan) Embassy/ Consulate (General)/ Representative Office/ Taiwan Technical Mission or project representative.

In addition to the above documents requested as part of their scholarship application,applicants should also submit all documents required by the TaiwanICDF partner university that they are applying to before the admissions deadline of that university. For detailed information on such documents, please refer to the individual enrollment websites for TaiwanICDF Scholarship Partner Universities.
The ROC (Taiwan) Embassy/ Consulate (General)/ Representative Office/ Taiwan Technical Mission or project representative will conduct a first review of applicants based on the eligibility requirements and selection criteria of the TaiwanICDF, and then submit their list of recommended applicants to the TaiwanICDF no later than March 31 each year.
A second review of the qualified applicants will be conducted by an academic committee organized by the individual partner university in joint cooperation with TaiwanICDF representatives. Such reviews will be based on each university’s selection criteria, whilst also accounting for the eligibility requirements and selection criteria of the TaiwanICDF.
After the second review has been conducted in cooperation with all partner universities, the TaiwanICDF will announce its list of scholarship recipients, in principle, no later than June 30 each year. Successful applicants will receive an acceptance letter through the ROC (Taiwan) Embassy/ Consulate (General)/ Representative Office/ Taiwan Technical Mission or project representative to whom they originally applied.
Please note: Gaining admission from the university does not necessarily mean that the applicant has also been given a TaiwanICDF scholarship. Only the applicant who receives the acceptance letter issued by the TaiwanICDF is the scholarship recipient.

Please note that regulations may be revised and updated by TaiwanICDF at any time without notice.

4. Apply Now

Applicants must complete an online application. Please go to our online application system to fill in your application (this will be available at the beginning of the year, and will be closed on March 14), and then submit a signed, printed copy along with all other application documents to the ROC (Taiwan) Embassy/ Consulate (General)/ Representative Office/ Taiwan Technical Mission or project representative in their country.
Please note that each applicant can only apply for one program at a time. The applicant also needs to submit a separate program application to his/her chosen universities.

<< International Cooperation and Development Fund —— TaiwanlCDF >>, en collaboration avec 21 universités taïwanaises, accorde des bourses en faveur desétudiants des pays amis de Taïwan. Ces bourses sont destinées aux jeunesfonctionnaires intéressés aux programmes d’études universitaires voulant s’inscrire pour continuer leurs études dans différents domaines tels que l’agronomie,l’aquaculture, le commerce et la gestion, les relations internationales, la hautetechnologie, l’éducation, la santé, la culture et des arts, la presse, la génie civile, l’informatique et l’environnement, etc.Les bourses pour les études universitaires seront pour une durée de 4 ans (5
ans pour le cursus en langue chinoise), les études en maîtrise pour une durée de 2ans, ceux qui poursuivent le diplôme de doctorat percevront les bourses pour unedurée de 4 ans. Un billet d’avion aller-retour en classe économique, les fraisencourus, tels qu’hébergement, livres, inscriptions scolaires, seront pris en charge par TaiwanICDF pour chaque boursier.
Etant donné que la quasi-totalité du cursus (à l’exception du cursus en langue chinoise) sera donné en anglais, un bon niveau de connaissance del’anglais pour chaque boursier est donc obligatoire.

Pièces requises pour la constitution du dossier de candidature :

1. le formulaire d'inscription de l'ICDF bien rempli sur le site d'internet : http://www.icdf.org.tw/TSP/Welcome.aspx. ;
2. le formulaire d'examen médicale de l'ICDF (à télécharger sur le site internet suivant : http://www.icdf.org.tw/ct.asp?xItem...) ;
3. une copie du passeport ou d'une pièce d'identité ;
4. une copie du dernier diplôme d'étude ;
5. une copie du relevé de note ;
6. une copie du certificat du niveau d'anglais ;
7. au moins deux lettres de recommandation d'un enseignant ayant tenu le candidat ;
8. Tous les documents fournis dans le dossier de candidature doivent être écrits ou traduits en anglais.

NB : Les copies légalisées des différentes pièces doivent être authentifiées par le Ministère des Affaires Etrangères et de la Coopération Régionale (MAECR) du Burkina Faso avant d'être traduites en anglais. Pour les candidats qui seront retenus, L'Ambassade de la République de Chine (Taïwan) au Burkina Faso à son tour, procèdera à une vérification des documents présents, à travers ses services afin de s'assurer de leur conformité.
L'INSCRIPTION DANS LES UNIVERSITES PARTENAIRES DE L'ICDF EST OBLIGATOIRE :
Après avoir terminé l'inscription sur le site internet d'ICDF, le candidat est invité ensuite à s'inscrire dans l'une des universités partenaires. La bourse sera attribuée uniquement au candidat qui peut être sélectionné à la fois par ICDF et une des universités partenaires. Les intéressés ne peuvent postuler qu'à un seul programme.

PROCESSUS DE SELECTION PAR ICDF :

Après le dépôt de votre dossier de candidature à l'Ambassade, celui-ci sera acheminé à Taiwan pour traitement par un jury composé de représentants d'ICDF et des universités concernées. Les dossiers des candidats burkinabè seront examinés en même temps que ceux des autres candidats des différents pays rassemblés par les autres Ambassades de la République de Chine (Taiwan) dans le monde. Il n'y pas un nombre prédéfini (quota) de bourses réservées aux candidats burkinabè. Les résultats seront affichés à l'Ambassade en fin juillet.
