Asia Exchange Scholarships
Asia is, by far, the most populous continent in the world. Its economic, political and cultural importance is growing rapidly and the importance of Asia is only going to increase in the future. Studying abroad in Asia will provide you with more chances for success both at present and in the future.
Asia Exchange wishes to encourage students to study abroad in Asia. We award scholarships that cover the tuition fee of a study abroad program in one of our Asian partner universities for one semester.
Asia Exchange scholarships
Asia Exchange scholarships are awarded twice a year for students from our target countries. The target countries at the moment are Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, The Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, The Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and USA.
The scholarship is to be used for studying abroad via Asia Exchange at one of the following universities:

• Bali, Indonesia: Udayana University
  
• Bangkok, Thailand: Kasetsart University
  
• Guangzhou, China: Guangzhou University
  
• Phuket, Thailand: Prince of Songkla University
  

Students who are interested in studying in Asia for one semester, at one of the institutes of higher education listed above, can apply for the scholarship. Please find more information from here.
A one page Statement of Purpose and a Transcript of Records are required as attachments.
Application is now open and will close on September 30th, 2014. Students who are awarded the scholarship will be informed of the decision two weeks after the application deadline. Please fill in the application form here.
Asia Exchange Scholarship will be awarded up to 5 students per an application round. Tell us why it would be academically beneficial for you to go on exchange to Asia and how you could encourage other students to study abroad in Asia in the future. The person who receives the scholarship will commit to writing a blog during the study abroad semester and to writing a study abroad report after the program.

Asia Exchange Role Model Scholarship
The AE Role Model Scholarship will be awarded at the end of a chosen study abroad program (normally only at Udayana University in Bali). The value of the scholarship is 200 €. The student to whom the scholarship will be awarded to will be chosen by the fellow exchange students, the host university and AE. Students cannot apply to this scholarship by themselves.
The following characteristics are considered when choosing the candidate:

• Interest towards Asia and excellent motivation for learning
  
• Academic achievements during the semester
  
• Showing respect towards the local culture and other people
  
• Being an example to others
  

We will inform about further scholarships once they are available. Asia Exchange reserves the right to award the scholarships based on the applications and based on our consideration
