The government has excluded Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish students from the scheme. Please note however, that additional criteria also apply, which will vary between universities. The additional King’s criteria are detailed below.In order to be eligible to be considered for the King’s NSP, students must:*have an assessed household income of £25,000 or less; *be in receipt of a maximum maintenance grant (£3,387); *be undertaking their first undergraduate degree programme; *be a new starter in 2014-15; *be liable for tuition fees of £9,000; *have ‘firmly’ accepted an offer of a place at King’s; *be an English-domiciled home/EU undergraduate student; *not be directly continuing from one programme to another (e.g. from foundation degree or HND on to the final year of an honours degree); *not be in receipt of any other sponsorship for tuition fees; *not be NHS-funded in year one. | Important Information: |

| Notes from Scholarships Times Advisory: Students will not need to apply for the NSP scheme. Any Home/EU English-domiciled student who applies for and receives means tested statutory funding (student loans and maintenance grant) will be considered for the scheme, provided they meet all the criteria listed above. Once all the information has been received by Government Programme and the assessment of the submitted documents is complete, you will be informed about your selection in the same.
