This atlas is intended to provide a ready and convenient reference text to help in the recognition of sheep and goat diseases. There are more than 800 high quality colour pictures, most of which are of gross postmortem changes. These are supplemented with a number of photomicrographs of histological lesions. Where possible, photographs of animals displaying external signs of ill health have been included. The illustrations are accompanied by short descriptive paragraphs highlighting the important features in reaching a diagnosis. The photographs are presented in 18 chapters each dealing with diseases of particular body systems, or miscellaneous toxicities, miscellaneous neoplasms, generalised infectious diseases found worldwide, disease of tropical and sub-tropical regions, and selected heritable and developmental abnormalities. There is a subject index. The book will be very useful for practitioners, students, meat inspectors, breeders and farmers.
