BREMEN TRAC Incoming Postdoctoral Fellowship for International Fellows, Germany 2015

WHO CAN APPLY?

BREMEN TRAC applicants can be of any nationality, but at the time of application, researchers must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Germany for more than twelve months in the three years immediately prior to the call deadline. They must have received their doctorate no later than two years ago (date of issue of the doctoral degree certificate). WHAT CONDITIONS HAVE TO BE MET?

An excellent doctoral thesis, above-average publication output, an innovative independent project proposal and a clear ability of achieving the proposed objectives are expected. A professor conducting full-time research at the University of Bremen has to explain in a detailed letter of intent how BREMEN TRAC fellows are to be integrated within the research context at the University of Bremen while at the same time maintaining a high degree of independence. The research context is also part of the evaluation.

FUNDING CONDITIONS:

BREMEN TRAC Fellows will receive a two-year working contract according to the German civil service remuneration system with the accordant social benefits and rights plus a monthly mobility allowance. Social security and health insurance are covered by the salary (pay grade E 13 TV-L). Beyond that, fellows receive a travel allowance once for their relocation to Bremen. In addition, a research allowance of up to 8.000 € per year depending on the project needs is offered to cover expenses for various activities, such as conference and workshop participation and/or organization, field research (in Germany or abroad) and publication costs. Fellows will have to take up work in Bremen no later than six months after call deadline.

PROCEDURE:

In the years 2013 to 2015 it is intended to publish yearly calls for applications within the BREMEN TRAC fellowship program. Each call for applications will offer six two-year postdoctoral fellowships. At least 50% of the positions are reserved especially for women. The evaluation of previous achievements will take periods of child and family care into account. The University's Research Funding Committee recommends on the basis of external review and video interview suitable candidates to the Office of the University President for decision (Selection process/Timeline).

Quelles sont les conditions à respecter?

Une excellente thèse de doctorat, sortie de la publication supérieure à la moyenne, un indépendant et innovant proposition de projet. Un professeur mener des recherches à temps plein à l'Université de Brême doit expliquer en détail lettre d'intention comment boursiers BREMEN TRAC doivent être intégrés dans le contexte de la recherche à l'Université de Brême, tout en maintenant un haut degré d'indépendance. Le contexte de la recherche fait également partie de l' évaluation .

Des conditions de financement:

BREMEN TRAC boursiers recevront un contrat de travail de deux ans selon le système de rémunération de la fonction publique allemande avec les sociaux concordants avantages et droits plus une indemnité mensuelle de mobilité. La sécurité sociale et l'assurance maladie sont couverts par le salaire ( salaire classe E 13 TV-L ). Au-delà, les boursiers reçoivent une allocation de Voyage une fois pour leur réinstallation à Brême. En outre, une allocation de recherche jusqu'à 8.000 € par an selon le projet a besoin est offerte pour couvrir les dépenses pour diverses activités, telles que la participation à la conférence et l'atelier et / ou de l'organisation, la recherche sur le terrain (en Allemagne ou à l'étranger) et les coûts de publication. Fellows auront à prendre un emploi à Brême au plus tard six mois après la date limite de l'appel.
