USA Friends Scholarships (2015)
Thanks to the generosity of our North American alumni and the Friends of the University of Sussex, two scholarships of an amount equivalent to $10,000 are available to nationals or residents of the USA who will be studying a one year taught Master's degree course at the University of Sussex.
Courses taught at the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) are not eligible for the scholarship except for the MA Gender and Development course.
The scholarships will be awarded on academic merit.

Eligibility
Nationals or residents of the USA who will be studying a one year taught Master's degree course at the University of Sussex.

Application procedure
Applications must be submitted electronically along with an academic reference.

Timetable
By 5th April 2015: Deadline for all applications to be received
By 5th June 2015: Applicants notified of the outcome of their application by email
Autumn Term: Scholars receive award payment.

- Academic merit (including grades)
- Academic reference
- Impact the scholarship will have on you
- Ambition
- Why you have chosen the University of Sussex and the contribution you will make to the community
Your referee for your application should ideally be a personal tutor or academic mentor at your current or last college or University.
