Master of Arts Degree in Fashion and Textile Design at NABA Scholarship University in Milan, Italy

NABA is proud to launch a new contest aimed at awarding the best talents with a scholarship to attend the upcoming edition of the MA in Fashion and Textile Design starting next January 2015. 

The Brief

The competition aims to introduce potential students to their future teachers, who will assess their skills and background in order to determine their eligibility to attend the Master of Arts Degree in Fashion and Textile Design at NABA, Milan. Interested people are asked to introduce themselves by presenting an outfit or an accessory which reflects their own personality using the language of fashion.

AUDIENCE
The competition is open to young designers that adopt and recognize in fashion a language able to visually embrace the essence of the contemporary world (music, visual arts, humanistic culture, technical/scientific culture, craft and industrial technologies, experimentation and tradition).
PRIZES
The three best projects will be awarded a scholarship for partial coverage of the tuition fee to attend the first year of the MA in Fashion and Textile Design starting in January 2015.

• 1st prize: n. 1 scholarship covering 60% of the tuition fee to attend the first year of the Program
  
• 2nd prize: n. 1 scholarship covering 50% of the tuition fee to attend the first year of the Program
  
• 3rd prize: n. 1 scholarship covering 40% of the tuition fee to attend the first year of the Program.
  

DEADLINES & MATERIALS
The works must be sent  by and no later than August 29th 2014. Candidates will be informed about the results of the competition by e-mail onSeptember 15th 2014.

Candidates are required to submit:

  • Short description (max 200 words) of the concept of the project highlighting reasons supporting their choices
    
  • Sketches and/or inspiration images
    
  • Picture of the realized outfit/accessory
    
  • Notes about the realization (i.e. sewn/made by the applicant, sewn/made by someone else, list of materials and techniques)

  • Personal portfolio of works and projects/personal collection: (maximum 15 candidate’s best fashion design projects)
    
  • Detailed curriculum vitae
    
  • Motivation statement

NABA lancia il concorso “Identity Dress” e premia i 3 migliori progetti con una borsa di studio per il Biennio Specialistico in Fashion and Textile  Design in partenza il prossimo gennaio 2015. 

Il Brief

Il concorso Identity Dress offre ai futuri studenti del Biennio la possibilità di presentarsi attraverso il proprio portfolio e la propria creatività ai futuri docenti del corso. In questo modo, la faculty del programma potrà apprezzare le competenze dello studente e l’adeguatezza del suo profilo per la frequenza al Biennio specialistico in Fashion and Textile Design NABA. I candidati dovranno presentare se stessi attraverso la presentazione di un abito o un accessorio che rispecchi la loro personalità utilizzando il linguaggio della moda.



AUDIENCE
Il bando di concorso si rivolge a candidati in possesso di una Laurea Triennale o di un Diploma Accademico di Primo Livello (o in attesa di conseguire tale titolo entro l’ultima sessione dell’a.a. 2013/14) nell’ambito della progettazione moda, del design o dell’architettura.
PREMI
Agli autori dei tre migliori progetti presentati verrà offerta una borsa di studio a copertura parziale della retta accademica per la partecipazione al primo anno del Biennio Specialistico in Fashion and Textile Design in partenza a Gennaio 2015:

• 1° premio: n. 1 borsa di studio pari al 60% del costo per la frequenza al primo anno del Biennio
  
• 2° premio: n. 1 borsa di studio pari al 50% del costo per la frequenza al primo anno del Biennio
  
• 3° premio: n. 1 borsa di studio pari al 40% del costo per la frequenza al primo anno del Biennio
  

DEADLINE & MATERIALI
I progetti dovranno essere inviati entro e non oltre il 29 agosto 2014. Il 15 settembre sarà pubblicata la graduatoria dei partecipanti e la proclamazione dei vincitori. 
I partecipanti dovranno inviare:

• Un file pdf (max 6 pagine) contenente:
  
  
  
  • un breve testo (max 200 parole) che illustri il concept del progetto (motivando la propria scelta)
    
  • schizzi e/o immagini d’ispirazione
    
  • foto dell’abito/accessorio realizzato
    
  • note sulla realizzazione (per es. se cucito/realizzato dal candidato, cucito/realizzato da altri, elenco dei materiali e delle tecniche utilizzati)
    
  
  
  
• Un file pdf (max 10 pagine) che illustri il portfolio
  
• Domanda di partecipazione compilata e firmata (3a pagina del Bando di Concorso)
  
• Documenti indicati nella domanda di partecipazione
