Eligibility:	*Candidates should have a 1st or 2:1 class honours degree in a relevant subject (genetics, microbiology, bioinformatics, molecular biology, or ecology).*The successful candidate will be highly motivated, creative, independent and ideally have previous experience in a molecular biology laboratory or in bioinformatics research.*Enthusiasm and practical experience in microbiology, molecular techniques (PCR, sequencing) and computer based genetic analysis are desirable, but training and support will be provided to strengthen these areas.*Good English writing and oral skills are essential.*Due to funding restrictions, this studentship is available to UK/EU students only.
