Eligibility: | Eligible candidates must be full-fee-paying international students and may not be citizens of New Zealand or Australia, or holders of New Zealand residence class visas. They must be completing, or have completed on or after 1 January of the year before the year of application, a University Entrance-level qualification that permits entry into a University of Canterbury undergraduate degree programme. Students who are undertaking, or have completed, a Foundation Studies programme at the UC International College are eligible to apply. The scholarship may not be held by students who: (1) have already undertaken study in an undergraduate degree programme at a New Zealand university; or (2) have applied for Transfer of Credit to an undergraduate degree programme at the University. |

Notes from Scholarships Times Advisory: To apply for the above scholarship / award / grant you should submit the following documents and should possess the following:
*certified true copies of your academic records for the qualification you are using to enter the University of Canterbury.
*If final year results are not yet available, attach the previous year’s results and forecast results for the final year (if available).
*Applicants who completed NCEA in 2013 do not need to attach results but must complete the Scholarships Consent Form.
*Applicants who completed Foundation Studies at the University of Canterbury do not need to attach results.
*Attach a reference from a senior member of staff OR your referee can email it to scholarships@canterbury.ac.nz
*A typed statement (one A4 page maximum) about what it means to be a leader, drawing on any experiences you have had in leadership roles, and how a university education would enable you to apply leadership skills internationally.
*A typed statement (one A4 page maximum) of your involvement in sport, cultural, or community activities
*A typed statement (one A4 page maximum) about your international experience, which may include travel, attendance at seminars, and other activities outside your home country.
Once all the information has been received by University of Canterbury and the assessment of the submitted documents is complete, you will be informed about your selection in the same.
