Eligibility:	*New Student Scholarships:-This scholarship is offered to new students who are studying the Bachelor of Business in Hotel Management degree at The Hotel School Sydney, and will be enrolling in a minimum of three units per session or undertaking a total of 6–8 units for the entire academic year. Applicants for The Hotel School Sydney New Student Scholarship must be Australian citizens or permanent residents*Continuing Student Scholarships:-This scholarship is offered to continuing students, commencing their second or third year of study in the Bachelor of Business in Hotel Management degree at The Hotel School Sydney, and who are enrolling in a minimum of three units per session or undertaking a total of 6–8 units for the entire academic year. Applicants for The Hotel School Sydney Continuing Student Scholarship must be Australian citizens or permanent residents.
Important Information:	1. Demonstrated academic achievement;2. Ability to demonstrate commitment to their local region through their contribution to their school and/or broader community, supported by the comments of their school or nominee;3. Applicants who can demonstrate leadership and involvement in their school and/or workplace;4. Submit a short academic (researched) essay (maximum of 1000 words) on one of the topics listed.

i) A university degree in hotel management does not generate graduates who will be future ‘world class’ hotel managers. Discuss.
ii) Explain the concept of sustainable organisations within the hotel sector. You may use industry and / or published articles to support your arguments.
iii) Given that the accommodation sector in Sydney is experiencing good occupancy, despite global financial issues, what two challenges face the hotel industry over the next five years?
The scholarship application is submitted separately from your application to The Hotel School Sydney.
Once all the information has been received by The Hotel School Sydney and the assessment of the submitted documents is complete, you will be informed about your selection in the same.
