It was predicted that the decoding of Human genome (over three billion
sequences) would take over five hundred years, and nobody was sure, how
that knowledge would be used. But once the 'HUMAN GENOME PROJECT' was
initiated as a loose
consortium, across countries and continents in
different labs, engaging scientists from almost any country, race,
ethnic background etc, it took less than twenty years!

Understanding
the need of the hour, the members of the top four oncology associations
of our country, viz. Association of Radiation Oncologists of India
(AROI), Indian Association of Surgical Oncologists (IASO), Indian
Society of Medical and Pediatric Oncology (ISMPO) and Indian Society of
Oncology (ISO), mandated their representatives to join hands and come
together for the First Indian Cancer Congress and co-host the event.The
responsibility to do the first event on these lines was given to the
'Oncology Forum' of Delhi.

The members of the Oncology Forum are honored for this trust bestowed, and promise to put their best effort.

We are trying to engage one and all for ICC 2013
